My Baby is 15 Months Old!

So I took Parker this week for his 15 month well-check with Dr. Korte. He weighed 23lb (30% for his age) and was 32" tall (70% for his age). Dr. Korte says he is tall and thin. He is meeting all his milestones as expected, still not talking much yet, other than saying "mom." He has said da-da and pa-pa a few times, but he is just not consistent. She said this is to be expected at 15 months, especially for boys (as girls tend to talk sooner). She says that between 18-24 months his speech will really start to develop and that it usually all happens in a matter of a couple weeks...they just all the sudden figure it all out! My little baby is starting to look more like a little boy now...which is kinda sad for me....its bittersweet....I enjoy watching him get bigger and learning new things, but I will always miss the "baby" in him! A lot of people are starting to tell me that they think he is starting to look more like my sister, Cortney...what do you all think?

Mommy's Little Helper

So Parker is absolutely obsessed with the vacuum cleaner...he is always trying to get it out of the closet where I keep it and constantly points to it and makes all kinds of noises voicing his excitement. I finally let him push it around the house and got a real kick out of watching him...so I thought I would get it on video for all of you to see! Enjoy! p.s. the video was taken with my cell phone so the quality isn't real great, but you get the idea!

So...here we are Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We arrived early yesterday morning and the Brooks' arrived yesterday afternoon. This was our first full day together and we spent the biggest part of it on the beach and playing in the pool! Here are the pics that I managed to get....just thought you all may be wondering how Parker's first trip to the ocean is going! We are having a great time! I will try and post more pics as the week goes on (its easier for me to blog while I am on vacation...I actually have time to blog!)

Our New Bathroom!

For those of you who read our blog, you know that we have been putting an addition on our house. The addition is off of our guest bedroom (which will now become the master bedroom). The addition consists of a master bath and walk-in closet. We are so glad that it is almost done! Here are some pics of the bathroom vanity and the rest of the bathroom. I haven't started decorating or anything yet, so don't mind the plain shower curtain liner! I will post more when its complete!

Holy Ravioli!

So....Parker had Ravioli and Meatballs for lunch yesterday....can you tell? I left the kitchen for a few minutes to throw some laundry in the dryer and fold some clothes and came back to this! I just started cracking up laughing and had to get some pics! Too funny!
