Parker's First Miners Game

Thursday night we decided to take Parker to his first Southern Illinois Miners Game. It was a lot of fun. We went with Grandma & Grandpa Pierson, Aunt Cortney & Uncle Cody. He was really good during the game (although he slept through most of it!) While he was awake we did manage to get a few pictures taken. Hope you all enjoy!

Our Little Cutie

Aunt Cortney was taking snapshots of Parker over the weekend and happened to catch this shot. We just love it and wanted to share it with all of you!

Parker with Mommy & Daddy

Parker and Taytum

On Saturday night, we went to Kim & Joe Balsano's house to see their new addition. Their daughter Mindy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on May 5th. We decided to get together and take the opportunity to take pictures of the babies together. Look how proud the two grandpas are!

Parker's First Bath at Home

Grandma Kathy came over on Saturday to help us out with Parker's first bath at home. He did really well with it! As you can see, he was quite content while we got him all cleaned up and smellin' good!

Coming Home From The Hospital

Thought you all may enjoy these pictures of Parker in his car seat on the way home from the hospital. We definitely got a good laugh getting him all secured before leaving the hospital. He looked so small in that big seat!

Parker Anthony Has Arrived!

Parker Anthony Diehl was born June 7, 2007 at 12:16pm at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. We started that morning around 3:30am because we had to be at the hospital at 5:00am for a scheduled induction. I was having contractions before going in and the nurse said I was probably in early labor anyway. After getting changed, filling out a bunch of forms, and answering tons of questions about my health history and pregnancy, I was started on pitocin about 6:15am. I started out dilated to 2cm and about 80% effaced. After about 4 hours into the induction, I had not made any progress. They decided to turn the pitocin up to make my contractions stronger and then things really started to pick up! My water broke on its own and I went from 2cm to 10cm in 25 minutes! By the time I had decided to take the epidural, it was already to late! I pushed for about 15 minutes and then Parker Anthony decided to make his big debut! He arrived into this world 6lbs. 5oz. and 18.5 inches long!
